Stubborn Pockets of Fat in Tummy, Love Handles or Hips That Won’t Go Away Despite Dieting and Exercise?

Introducing Non-surgical Body Sculpting

You may have seen ads or articles about body sculpting or contouring and not really understood what it is.

It’s fairly new, but growing in popularity because it gets results non-invasively. Body sculpting is also less expensive and has no down time compared to surgery.

Before We Explain What Body Sculpting is, Let’s Dispel Some Myths and Misconceptions About Body Contouring:

  • Body sculpting is not for weight loss

If you are very obese it will not help you. You need to diet first, then body sculpting can help.

  • Non-invasive body contouring is not a one time miracle fix.

It takes time and effort on yours and your body sculptors part.

  • Body sculpting is not a gimmick

The technology behind this therapy is legit. It gets results and when you maintain good eating and exercise habits you can expect lasting results.

Okay So Enough About What it Isn’t, What Is Non-Surgical Body Sculpting?

The premise is simple and is a 3 step process:

  1. Cavitation: Liquifying fat and breaking fat cell membrane so the fat can escape.
  2. Sculpting: moving the liquified fat towards your lymphatic drainage vessels to be eliminated from your body
  3. Tightening and toning of skin over areas of fat loss for a smoother appearance

The Methods or Tools Used Are a Combination of Old Manual Techniques from South America and New Tech Electromagnetic Devices.

Cavitation by ultrasonic (sound) waves vibrates the fat cells to melt the fat and burst the cell membrane. Radio Frequency waves (RF) can also cause cavitation by creating heat deep in the fat layers.

Sculpting or movement of fat is done with hands on massage and wooden tools (wood therapy). This technique was founded in South America. There are also higher tech tools such as vacuum therapy that sucks the fat from areas to relocate it towards lymph vessels.

Skin tightening is achieved by a RF (radio frequency) device that heats up the area under the skin promoting growth of collagen and elastin. This improves the appearance by tightening the skin.

What Happens to the Fat?

After the fat is melted and the cell membranes are burst through cavitation, the lymph is manually moved to areas where your main lymph vessels are. The lymphatic system is a passive circulatory system that takes waste products out of your tissues and sends it back into your blood vessels to be filtered by the liver and kidneys.

Eventually the lymph fluid will be excreted in your urine and stool. You can expect to see some changes in the appearance of urine and stool for a couple of days following a session. Also it’s important to note that it takes a couple of days for the lymph fluid to be absorbed and excreted. That is why visits are spaced 3 days to 1 week apart.

What Should I Do Prior to Body Sculpting

There are a few things you can do to optimize your results.

1-2 Days Prior to a Session

Drink water: you need to be fully hydrated. Try drinking half your body weight in ounces of water each day. For example if you weight 160 lbs, drink 80 ounces of water.

Cavitation works best if you have plenty of fluids in the body. It helps conduct the sound and radio waves to the cells. Also it will help the lymph circulate and be excreted.

Day of Session

  • Shower, but do not apply lotions or gels to your skin.
  • Avoid heavy meals, caffeine, soda and alcohol
  • Wear comfortable loose fitting clothes
  • Drink water, use the restroom immediately prior to the session

After Your Session

Drink more water!

Do some exercise like walking, Yoga, or Tai Chi to help move the lymph out of your body.

What Body Areas Can Be Sculpted?

The most common area is the tummy, especially the lower abdomen. The pooch after motherhood can be difficult to diet and exercise away. Also the sides and love handles can be contoured to a more flattering profile.

Under the arms and the back of thighs can be sculpted to get rid of flab and unsightly cellulite. The buttocks may be sculpted as well.

In addition to removing fat from undesirable areas, the machines can be used to plump up and lift other areas, notably the buttocks. A process known as a Brazilian Butt Lift or BBL loosen fat from the thighs and moves it towards the rump to make it appear fuller. The muscles underneath the buttocks can be exercised to improve the underlying tone as well.

What Results Can I Expect?

Realistically speaking, the process does take some time and effort on your part. You do need to eat well, avoiding foods that cause bloat like wheat and other grains, soda and processed sugars. You must also do your part by drinking water daily and exercising at least 3x per week.

Within 1-4 sessions:

You will most likely see measurable results. The area being sculpted will measure smaller. The tape will show change but before and after photos may not yet.

Within 4-12 sessions:

Physical contours will look different to the naked eye. You will most likely be able to look in the mirror and see changes. Before and After photos will show noticeable changes.

These are general guidelines. It all depends on your body on starting, how well you adhere to the plan of diet and exercise and how quickly your body eliminates the fat.
